About

My name is Ian and I want to make games — perhaps for a living.  I don’t reside close enough to a studio where I can get my foot in the door for on the job training, I have a family so going to a specialized school is out of the question and I don’t really know anything about it so remote contracting is out too.  Also, there probably aren’t a whole lot of remote contract game designers in general.

I’m not entirely without capability, however.  I’ve developed a modest degree of skill and ability in practical and digital art, particularly sculpture and graphic design and I’ve got a very basic grasp of programming (in non-game contexts).

The purpose of this blog is to catalog my efforts, learning and whatever resources I discover for the benefit of others.  It is my hope that by giving what I’ve learned to others that I might make connections with other newly minted or more experienced game makers and that collaboration will be the result.

Don’t be shy.  Let me know you’re out there by commenting or e-mailing me from the contact form.

Cheers,

Ian

Hey, Ibby here, I’ve been checking your stuff out and commenting on YouTube, and decided to dig a little deeper to see what makes one of my new favorite channels tic. It’s a nice little venture you’re going on, and I wish you the best of luck. If you ever do make a game, and it manages to encompass the carefree, hilarious style of your LP series and general game commentary, you can be damn sure I’ll be shelling out the greens for it. Well, that’s all I had to say.

Look forward to seeing more from you~
    Best Wishes, and DFTBA!

Thank you kindly. My motto is “Games with Personality” and we are most definitely rolling along soundly with our first title. Whether it will capture the spirit of Jungle Fever … well, its hard to say, but it will have a unique voice and it will be free!

You know what? No one else has commented, so I am commenting again! Loving Dungeons of Dredmor! I actually bought the game because you started playing it. Your commentary is far more informative, and much more entertaining than any of the available reviews, so I’m just gonna stick with you! VP FTW~
